User Accounts

Certain features of Placavo, such as submitting reviews, saving favorites, or managing business listings, may require you to create a user account. When registering, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Each individual may create and maintain only one personal account. Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of manipulating reviews, circumventing restrictions, or any other deceptive purpose is strictly prohibited. Placavo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

You agree to notify Placavo immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach. Placavo will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account.

User Content & Reviews

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Placavo, including reviews, ratings, photographs, and comments. By submitting content, you grant Placavo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, distribute, and create derivative works of your content in connection with operating and promoting the platform.

All reviews must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine personal experiences. You may not submit reviews for businesses you have not visited or services you have not used. Reviews must not contain defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or threatening language. You are solely responsible for the content of your reviews and any consequences that may arise from them.

Placavo reserves the right to remove, edit, or refuse to publish any user content that violates these terms, our content guidelines, or applicable law. We may also remove content that we believe is fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise harmful to the integrity of our platform, at our sole discretion.

Business Listings

Businesses and their authorized representatives may submit listings to Placavo free of charge. All information provided in a business listing must be accurate, current, and not misleading. You represent and warrant that you have the authority to submit and manage listings for the businesses you claim.

Placavo reserves the right to edit, modify, or remove any business listing at its sole discretion, including listings that contain inaccurate information, violate our guidelines, or are deemed inappropriate. Claiming ownership of a business listing requires verification of your relationship to the business through our verification process.

By submitting a business listing, you grant Placavo the right to display the listing information, including business name, address, contact details, photographs, and other submitted data, on our platform and in connection with our services.

Prohibited Conduct

When using Placavo, you agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

• Submitting fake, misleading, or incentivized reviews
• Sending spam, unsolicited messages, or promotional content to other users
• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users or business owners
• Engaging in any illegal activity or encouraging others to do so
• Scraping, crawling, or using automated tools to extract data from our platform without written permission
• Impersonating another person, business, or entity
• Uploading or distributing malware, viruses, or other harmful software
• Attempting to circumvent security measures, access controls, or other protective systems
• Manipulating ratings, search rankings, or other platform metrics
• Using the platform for any purpose that is fraudulent or otherwise harmful

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of your content, and potential legal action.

Intellectual Property

The Placavo name, logo, brand identity, website design, software code, visual elements, and all original content created by Placavo are the intellectual property of Placavo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Placavo-owned materials without our prior written consent.

User-submitted content remains the intellectual property of the respective users, subject to the license granted to Placavo as described in Section 4. Third-party trademarks, logos, and brand names appearing on the platform are the property of their respective owners and are displayed for identification purposes only.

Disclaimers

The Placavo platform and all content, features, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Placavo disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.

Placavo does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any business listing, user review, rating, or other content on the platform. We are not responsible for the quality of goods or services provided by businesses listed on our platform, nor for any interactions, transactions, or disputes between users and businesses. Users rely on platform information at their own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Placavo, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

In no event shall Placavo's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to your use of the platform exceed the amount you have paid to Placavo, if any, during the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the platform shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.

By using Placavo, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to the venue of such proceedings. If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
